February 14th.- To be held at Riverwoods Mobile Home Community Center, 2pm.
Located at 525 Riverleigh Ave., Riverhead DirectionsIs Long Island Antique Power Association going to the dogs?
Oh no, we are just building a dog house!
Nes Kramer is spearheading a new project that will hopefully get our members with young
children more involved.
Our sawmill has produced some wonderful lumber that needs to be put to good use.
Since our club is classified as an educational organization, it only seems right that we get our
young people involved.
The project consists of the following:
We will use plans obtained on the internet to build a dog house at www.BuildEazy.com
The dog house stands 34” high, 32” wide and 48” long.
It will accommodate a reasonable large dog but is suitable for smaller dogs.
It will be constructed out of boards from our own sawmill for the floor, roof, framing and skids.
Exterior walls will most likely be made from thick exterior plywood.
Mike Mecuri, Sr. has volunteered to cut all the boards for safety reasons.
The plan is to have the dog house built and painted for our summer show. We will be selling
chances to raffle off the dog house. This should bring some revenue into the club, but most of
all we will be getting our young people involved.
So anyone interested in getting involved with the project, please contact Nes Kramer at
