Coming Events - Long Island Antique Power Association

Hello everyone. Sunday, October 10th is the Riverhead Country Fair. We will again be participating. You need to arrive early as roads close at 8 a.m. You will have to stay until the road opens again at 5:30.  Its a long day but so much fun.  We will have the grassy area behind the East End Arts buildings. The same spot as in previous years.  Plenty of room for both large and small tractors, engines and small equipment. Please come out and show off your toys. There are vendors, food, entertainment.  The fair usually gives us a donation too. So let’s show off our toys.

The competition area also needs judging for the veggies and pies, cakes and cookies. Judging starts at 8.

Then we have our Fall show and swap meet.  That will be held on Saturday and Sunday, November 6th and 7th. Time is 9-5. In previous years we held this event in September and October, but due to the pumpkin traffic no one could get thru and spectator attendance was non existent. We hope you will bring out your small and large tractors for pulls. This is what our organization is all about so why not make us proud and give the spectators something to see. Small and large engines, the sawmill gang will be milling, Ron will be blacksmithing. We also have a new addition. The 6 car barrel trains for kiddie rides. Admission will be $10 for adults, kids under 12 free and all Veterans are free. If you are a member, of course you do not pay admission.

If you have anything to sell and want to set up a table, the fee is only $20. Spread the word. We had a great turn out for this in the spring.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Always happy to hear from you. 631-404-2708.
